Hutto Wood Products build and offer several different types of mills.

Starting with our MVB series, this consists of 3 types of mills: a 14 inch, 24 inch, and a 36 inch. All three of these have a 6-knife head. They can either be: diesel, electric, gas, or PTO. These machines can be stationary or portable and can have a 4-foot or 8-foot box. These machines are our smaller machines, but they are built to be very durable. They are made with a heavy tubing sub-structure and a bed plate that is a half-inch to three-quarters thick depending on the model. The boxes are assembled with quarter to half-inch plate depending on the model. We only use hydraulic cylinders to operate our boxes. We do not use chains or cables. The box is still able to move past the head to allow easy access to changing the knives.

Hutto Wood Products also constructs a 4" to 5" stationary box machine with two heads, 10 knives; or a single head 10-knife machine. This type of shaver is only for electric application. They come with a box that does not move. So that means no stopping for loading wood. The knives can be changed with the box full of wood, and being that the head comes out from under the box, this makes for easy knife change.

These machines are built to take a beating. They have a heavy tubing sub-structure with a one-inch thick plate for the carriage. All of our machines -small or large- come with their own self-contained hydraulic system. When you buy one of our machines, it is pre-tested and ready-to-run. Only our electric machines require a three-wire and ground hook up to the main on the shaver.
